Residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel)
An Iranian national needs the residence procedure matching their purpose of stay. Contact your local immigration office; Berlin offers separate routes for study and work. Iran is not covered by the visa-free privilege in § 41 AufenthV.

Work, study and family residence use different procedures. Apply through the immigration office for your home; the linked Berlin procedures apply in Berlin.
Iran is not among the states privileged by § 41 AufenthV. Do not assume you can enter visa-free because another nationality can. Berlin’s study application produces a confirmation, but this does not extend a short-stay Schengen visa.
