Access to an Integrationskurs
For an Iranian national, access to an Integrationskurs depends on the residence title and personal circumstances, not the passport alone. Check your entitlement with the immigration office or BAMF and obtain the participation authorisation before enrolling.
Step by step
- Clarify eligibilityShow your current residence document to the immigration office or BAMF and ask which route applies.
- Enrol with authorisationIf admission is needed, apply before starting. Take the resulting authorisation to an approved course provider.
Section 44 AufenthG gives an entitlement in specified cases, including certain first residence permits for employment, family reunion or humanitarian protection. It also sets exceptions and limits. An Iranian passport by itself is neither a participation entitlement nor a reason to apply the rules for EU citizens.
The course combines German language learning with orientation about life and the legal system in Germany. If you have no entitlement, ask BAMF whether admission is available in your exact situation and current course capacity. For an admission application, the official process requires identity evidence and a decision before enrolment with the authorisation.
