Changing address (Ummeldung)
An Iranian national moving to a new main home must register the new address, normally within two weeks. In Berlin, arrange a Bürgeramt appointment and obtain a new Wohnungsgeberbestätigung; an eAT does not enable online registration.
Step by step

- Attend the appointmentTake your passport and any eAT to the Bürgeramt with the required papers; keep the new confirmation.
Moving into a new main home uses the address-registration procedure even if you already lived in Germany. The relevant date is the move-in, not the date you signed the contract.
Berlin asks for the registration form, identity documents and the new housing provider’s confirmation; check the additional requirements for children or multiple homes. The office can update the address on your eAT during the appointment. The online route described on Berlin’s page is limited to qualifying German and EU citizens.
