Requesting a Meldebescheinigung
An Iranian resident registered in Berlin can obtain a Meldebescheinigung to prove their registered address. The online service accepts an eAT with active eID and PIN; a certificate request does not register a new address or replace an Anmeldung.
Step by step
- Request and retainSelect the needed certificate details, follow the official route’s identification and payment instructions, then download or collect the certificate and check the address.
Choose the information the recipient actually needs: the certificate normally contains personal details and registered addresses, while additional register details can be requested. A certificate used as proof of life must be requested in person.
Berlin offers online, postal and personal routes. Online identification uses BundID or its guest access and a supported electronic identity document, including an eAT. For a personal application bring the original passport; a postal application needs an identity copy and the stated payment evidence. Check the current fee or exemption for your route.
