Iranian nationals working in Germany are generally covered by statutory pension insurance in qualifying employment. Check your Versicherungsverlauf with Deutsche Rentenversicherung and clarify missing periods; contributions alone do not fix a pension's start or amount.

Paid employees and vocational trainees are generally subject to statutory pension insurance, with special rules and exceptions. The pension insurer keeps an individual account under the insurance number. Check the recorded periods rather than relying only on a payslip showing deductions.
You must help clarify the account by checking the insurance history and providing relevant evidence for missing or incorrect entries. Explain any Iranian work or study history to the insurer for an individual assessment without assuming automatic credit. The general waiting period for a regular old-age pension is five years; age and other entitlement conditions are separate.
