For Iranian women in Germany, Mutterschaftsgeld depends on employment and insurance. Ask your Krankenkasse about eligibility; if you are not a statutory member, check the Bundesamt für Soziale Sicherung route and any employer supplement.

Statutory members can qualify through sickness-benefit entitlement or loss of wages because of maternity protection periods; special rules also cover certain employment endings. For payment before birth, the expected delivery date is established by a doctor's or midwife's certificate. Being pregnant alone does not establish the same payment for every insurance category.
Women outside statutory membership may qualify for the federal maternity payment under the applicable employment conditions, administered on application by Bundesamt für Soziale Sicherung. An employer supplement is a separate calculation during an eligible employment relationship. Ask both the paying body and payroll which evidence and calculation apply to your case.
