Urlaubstage: entitlement and approval
Iranian employees in Germany have statutory holiday rights too. Check the entitlement for your work pattern and contract, then agree dates with the employer before travelling. Medically certified incapacity during leave is not counted as annual holiday.

The statute states a minimum of twenty-four Werktage, counting calendar days other than Sundays and statutory holidays. That is not automatically the number of days to subtract from a different work pattern; have your employer explain the conversion and any additional contractual leave. Full statutory entitlement first arises after six months of employment; partial entitlement has separate rules.
Your preferred dates must be considered, but urgent operational reasons or socially prioritised requests from colleagues can affect approval. Request leave and confirm the agreed dates before booking a visit to Iran. If you become unfit for work during leave, obtain medical evidence and meet the notification duties; do not simply extend the trip yourself.
