Understanding SCHUFA and your data
An Iranian resident can request access to personal data held by SCHUFA and ask SCHUFA to correct inaccurate entries. If identification is needed, a passport together with a current official registration certificate is an alternative to a German identity card.

Credit agencies provide information used by businesses to assess payment risks. Check your own stored data rather than assuming a score describes your immigration status or guarantees acceptance of a contract.
The Hessian data-protection authority explains that SCHUFA may request identity evidence where there are justified doubts, for example differing address details. It recommends masking data unnecessary for identification. Access requests normally have a one-month response period from receipt. For incorrect data, direct correction or deletion requests to SCHUFA; the supervisory authority’s FAQ explains the complaint context.
