Deutschzertifikate: choose proof for your purpose
Iranian nationals in Germany should ask the receiving office or university which German certificate, result and age of evidence it accepts before booking a test. A course certificate or a generic level label does not necessarily meet the actual requirement.

The purpose determines the evidence: university admission, naturalisation and professional work need not use the same certificate rules. Start with the receiving institution's current list, including whether each test component needs a minimum result. If you took a test in Iran, have its exact title and result checked rather than assuming acceptance from its advertised level.
For example, FU Berlin distinguishes language evidence at application from evidence at enrolment and has programme-specific exceptions. Its general enrolment list includes DSH 2 and TestDaF with at least level 4 in every component, while specified German-language programmes require more. These are FU rules, not a universal list for every German office. Confirm the applicable submission deadline and accepted evidence before paying for a test.
