Using Mein ELSTER for German tax
An Iranian taxpayer can use Mein ELSTER for German tax forms and messages. Register the appropriate personal account with your tax identification number and use the offered activation route; you do not need to assume you have a German Personalausweis.
Step by step
- Register and activateChoose the personal account, enter your tax ID and accurate personal details, then complete the displayed activation steps.
- Send the formSelect the relevant tax year and form, check your entries, submit and save the transmission confirmation.
For your own private returns, select the personal account type. ELSTER offers several login methods, including a certificate file and ElsterSecure. Choose a method supported by your documents and devices instead of treating the Personalausweis option as universal.
The registration help describes activation using an ID by email and a code by post. Enter your correct date of birth and accessible email address, and ensure you can receive post. Keep your login credentials securely. After completing a tax form, actually submit it and retain confirmation; saving a draft in your account is a separate action.
